This delightful adult Piggy Hat pattern will help you make anyone’s winter warmer! Story time! I was actually attempting to make some pig slippers for my daughter when this idea came to me and in a flash I was off, scribbling stiches down on paper, and striving to come up with a cute booty for a pig hat I never meant to have happen! It was…magic! I hope you feel it as you are stitching this hat 😉

Supplies:
– Crochet Hook (Size G-6, 4.25mm)
– 1 skein light pink Color A
– 1 skein white Color B
– 1 skein black Color C (all yarns are worsted weight, I used Redheart. You can use any
100% acrylic worsted weight yarn of your choice)
– Yarn Needle
– A small amount of poly-fil or other stuffing of choice (for the nose)
– Stitch Markers

Gauge
You should always make a gauge swatch before you begin! Save yourself headaches!
16 sts = 4”; 5 sc rounds = 1”.
Use any size hook that you need to achieve the desired gauge.

Special stitches to know:
– Sc2tog – [draw up a loop in next st] twice, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook.
– Sc3tog – [draw up a loop in next st] three times, yo and draw through all 4 loops on hook.
– HDC around the post – instead of going through the top of the stitch as usual, work around the post of the stitch, inserting hook from the front.
This is an intermediate crochet pattern, there is no further explanation of these stitches. Tutorials are easily found online.
