5mm knitting needles (no cable needles are required, despite the name of the stitch being misleading)
1 Skein each of the following in Redheart or Mainstays yarn (medium #4):
Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Indigo (I used navy as I could not find a deep enough blue/purple)
Violet Stitch counter (optional)
